Open Call for impact projects

Yesterday, at Impact Hub Ticino's party at La Straordinaria, the Open Call to participate in the second edition of Impact Club was launched. Impact Club is a program of Impact Hub Ticino that aims to support the development of impact entrepreneurial and social innovation projects by facilitating meetings with a selected network of foundations and individuals active in philanthropy and impact investing. Registrations are open until April 14.

After the great success of the first edition of Impact Hub Ticino's incubator, in which eight projects from the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland participated, registration is now open for the next edition, which will start on July 2.

Yesterday at La Straordinaria, the Impact Hub Ticino association celebrated the first year of Impact Club, the impact incubator supported by foundations and individuals active in philanthropy and impact investing. The more than 200 people who attended the evening met the teams of incubated projects and learnt about how to participate in the next edition of the incubator.

"We are very happy with this first year of Impact Club because we are getting a lot of positive feedback, both from the teams but also from those who are part of the Club. In 2022-2023 we incubated 8 projects, and 6 made it to the final pitch stage." - says Tommaso Tabet, one of the promoters of the initiative.

"These days we are mobilizing more than 400,000 CHF between investments and donations: it is very nice to see all this support. It confirms the usefulness of a program like ours, which among its main objectives aims at the facilitation of investments"-continues Carlotta Zarattini, co-founder of Impact Hub Ticino and promoted of Impact Club together with Tommaso Tabet.

Catie Burlando, manager of the incubator, cannot hide her excitement: "We are ready to start scouting for the next edition of the incubator and look forward to discovering new impact projects from our area and helping them grow."

Impact Hub Ticino's 2023-2024 incubator program will run for eight months and is intended for impactful, early-stage entrepreneurial (for-profit and nonprofit) projects based in Italian-speaking Switzerland. Impact Club, in collaboration with the people who are part of the Club, will choose the projects to accompany on the incubation program. During the program, special attention will be given to the development of a business model that combines financial sustainability and impact, peer-to-peer learning, and also personal development and team well-being. Teams will also have access to the Impact Hub community in Switzerland, coworking spaces, and to the weekly and thematic events offered by Impact Hub Ticino. At the conclusion of the incubation program, projects will be ready to receive the necessary funding.

The new incubation program will start on July 2 with a 2-day retreat in Engadine, which will be attended by investors, philanthropists, and teams from the first and second year program.

Program and how to apply

The incubator program has a value of 15,000 CHF. A contribution of 300 CHF is required from the teams selected to participate in the incubation program. More information can be found on the Impact Club website (www.impactclub.ch).
